Dear Harvest Haven Family and Friends,

May is a season filled with love, gratitude, and meaningful connection. As Mother’s Day approaches, we are reminded of the quiet sacrifices, strength, and unconditional love that mothers and grandmothers have poured into their families over the years. Whether through words of encouragement, home-cooked meals, or a lifetime of faithful care, a mother’s love often becomes the foundation that shapes generations. During this special month, we would like to extend our heartfelt blessings to all mothers, grandmothers, and every woman who lovingly cares for others in the spirit of a mother. Happy Mother’s Day! May God bless you with peace, health, joy, and abundant love.

This year’s Mandarin Seniors Mother’s Day Celebration at Harvest Haven was especially joyful and well attended. The room was filled with laughter, applause, and warm fellowship as many seniors and friends gathered together to celebrate. Participants prepared a variety of performances, including worship songs, dancing, choir presentations, personal sharing, and interactive games. Many also brought treasured old family photographs, sharing memories of their mothers, children, and younger years together. As these faded photographs were displayed, many were deeply moved, reminded of the love and sacrifices woven through family life. At the end of the celebration, flowers and blessings were presented to every mother as a small expression of appreciation for their years of selfless love and dedication to their families and future generations. For many seniors, this was more than just a program—it was a meaningful reminder that they are remembered, valued, and loved.

Do you have old family photos with your mother or loved ones? Harvest Haven’s volunteer team would be happy to help digitally preserve and even colorize your treasured photos so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Following the warm response to our first event, we are excited to announce that the Harvest Haven Christian Singles Fellowship Night – Season 2 will take place on: Saturday, May 16. Our first gathering welcomed more than 60 participants and volunteers, creating an evening filled with sincere conversations, encouragement, and meaningful new connections. We were deeply encouraged to see young adults connecting in a healthy, faith-centered, and supportive environment.

Registration for Season 2 is now open! We warmly invite Christian singles ages 24–45 to join us, and we encourage you to share this opportunity with friends, family members, and church communities. Perhaps in one meaningful evening, someone may meet the companion God has prepared for them.  For more information, please contact Harvest Haven at (562) 860-8601.
