Dear Friends of Harvest Haven,
As we step into December, the final month of 2025, our hearts are full of gratitude. This has been a year marked by grace, provision, and community—and we thank God for His continued presence in every step.
At Harvest Haven, we are especially thankful for YOU—our generous donors, faithful volunteers, dedicated teachers, and every senior and friend who walks through our doors. Your love and support are what make this community feel like home.
One story that touched us deeply this month came from a senior who, despite now living in modest housing at a senior apartment complex, continues to quietly donate to Harvest Haven. Her faithful giving, no matter the amount, reminds us that it’s the heart behind the gift that matters most. It encourages us to keep going, to serve with joy, and to build a place where love is shared and lives are uplifted.
December is a time for celebration! We’re excited to invite all of you to join our upcoming Christmas parties:
Cantonese Seniors Christmas Gathering:
Wednesday, December 17
Join us for a joyful celebration with music, games, Santa Claus, and a fun White Elephant gift exchange. Please bring a small new gift (suggested value under $10) to participate—and volunteers are encouraged to bring two gifts. Who knows what surprise you’ll take home? Perhaps a “giant white elephant”!
Mandarin Seniors Christmas Gathering:
Thursday, December 18
A beautiful morning filled with music, sharing, celebration, and a Harvest Haven Christmas Gift Bag for each guest.

This season, our knitting class students crafted a stunning hand-knit blanket made of 20 heart-shaped patches stitched with love. The teacher even added a silky backing to make it soft and warm. Whether used for display or for keeping warm, it radiates care. This “blanket of love” is available for purchase through donation—all proceeds will go toward supporting Harvest Haven’s programs in 2026. A perfect gift with a deeper purpose!

On November 15, something amazing happened: Harvest Haven was filled to the brim! While over 100 young adults gathered for a vibrant Christian fellowship event,in the main hall. Our Karaoke hall hosted a packed health seminar with Professor Jenny Niu—despite pouring rain outside! Every corner of our center was alive with energy, community, and care. Even the hallways were decorated with balloons and smiling greeters—it felt like a holiday celebration already. Truly, a glimpse of what we pray Harvest Haven will always be: a field of harvest and a haven of joy.

On November 19, we gathered with our beloved seniors for a Thanksgiving luncheon at Olive Garden. Laughter filled the room as we enjoyed warm meals and warm hearts. Moments like these remind us why we serve—to honor our elders, create community, and reflect the goodness of God in simple, joyful ways.
