Dear Friends of Harvest Haven,
As summer draws to a close, we step into a new season with gratitude and hope. Thank you for your continued care and support, which allow us to keep planting seeds of love throughout our community—whether it’s a warm meal delivered to a senior, a comforting prayer, or a safe after-school space for children. Every act of kindness is making a quiet, powerful impact.
This month, we’re thrilled to announce the official launch of our After-School Tutoring Program! After months of prayer and preparation, we are now serving 1st–6th grade students each week with homework support, creative enrichment, and faith-based character building. We are still seeking volunteers to serve Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Harvest Haven families who enroll will receive a special discount. Please continue to pray for this new ministry as it grows and touches young lives.
At the same time, we’re now providing over 200 free hot meals each month to local seniors. Just $25 a month provides one senior with an entire month of nutritious, dignified meals. These meals are more than food—they are tangible expressions of love and care. Our senior programs also continue to flourish, including Tai Chi, karaoke, line dancing, knitting, and digital literacy classes. Thanks to your faithful support, our technology and media outreach are expanding. We’re excited that more people can now connect with Harvest Haven’s services through various social media platforms.
Looking ahead, we warmly invite you to attend our Fall Health Seminar on Thursday, August 14, hosted by our Mandarin Fellowship from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The seminar will feature renowned nutrition expert Dr. Jenny Niu, who will share on topics such as successfully preventing aging, how to strengthen your immune system and basic first aid. This is the first session of the seminar series, with the next two events scheduled for October and November. We hope you won’t miss it!
As always, we invite you to pray with us—for strength, provision, and lasting impact in all our programs. Your love, prayers, and faithful giving are the heartbeat of this ministry, and we are deeply grateful to walk this journey with you.
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9
With gratitude and blessings,
