Dear Friends,

We hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas and New Year with your family and friends!  After a two weeks’ break, our volunteers will be busy again planning and preparing for a very festive and fun Lunar New Year celebration with the seniors.

New Year will be a good time to make new resolutions.  Do come join our different exercise classes including Line dance, Tai Chi & Tai Chi Sword, Praise dance, ping pong, pickle ball, etc.  If you enjoy singing and want to improve your singing techniques, do come join our Friday Voice Class from 9:30-11am.

It is disheartening that this supposedly happy Holiday Season has been marred by tragedies because vehicles were being used as weapons— one driver plowed his car into a busy Christmas market in Germany killing 5 and injuring over 200; and another driver used a pickup truck to mow down pedestrians in New Orleans, killing 14 and injuring more than 30.  Our hearts go out to the victims and their families.  We hope and pray that there will be more love and less hatred, more harmony and less discord among people and nations in this world! 

Harvest Haven will continue to sow love and be a light to this world, and continue to bring happiness to others to the best of our abilities and resources.  May our dear Lord bless everyone with peace, love and harmony this New Year!  And may the Year of the Snake bring everyone good health and happiness!!
