Spring is here! We hope the spring flowers will bring smiles and happiness to everyone!
With COVID restrictions easing up a bit, more people are venturing out of their homes. Here at Harvest Haven, more activities are returning. Besides Line Dancing, ESL, Citizenship, Pickleball and Ping Pong, the Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword classes on Tuesdays between 2-4pm have also resumed. Feel free to join any of our other classes and activities. Masks are still required inside our Center for everyone’s safety.
We hope to resume our Senior programs on the first week of May. The Mandarin volunteers will have a potluck meeting on April 7 to prepare for the re-opening and Cantonese volunteers are also busy planning and preparing for the return. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for our senior programs, please visit our Center to fill out a Volunteer Form or call 562-860-8601.
Just a reminder that this year’s deadline for filing Income Tax returns is on April 18. Free tax preparations for certain families are still available, but please bring your tax information to our Center before April 13 so that our volunteer can have ample time to prepare the returns.
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on April 17, we would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter and we pray that there be Peace around the world!!
