We hope everyone had a very Blessed and Merry Christmas with family and friends! Although over half a million people in the US tested positive for COVID over the Christmas weekend as reported on December 27, we hope all our friends had stayed vigilant and are healthy and well!
Harvest Haven’s volunteers and the Senior groups had a very enjoyable Christmas celebration in the park. They did exercises for health and played fun games, and of course jolly old Santa was there to deliver Christmas gifts to all! Everyone also had a wonderful time chatting during lunch and many wished to see each other again very soon!
Our original plan was to restart our regular Senior programs in January or February of 2022. However, the Omicron variant has caused a recent surge in COVID cases. For the safety of our volunteers and especially for our seniors, we will have to postpone the restart to a later date. Meetings will continue online until it is safe for seniors to congregate again. We will however try to arrange more outdoor gatherings for the mental health of everyone!
We hope and pray that Covid cases will wind down in 2022 and life will be back to normal again very soon! As Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope”
We would like to wish everyone a very safe and Happy New Year! May the year 2022 bring new hope and a brighter future for everyone!!
