As COVID cases spike due to the Delta variant, we urge everyone to get vaccinated and continue to wear masks when in public to protect yourself and others. We also hope and pray that students will remain safe as schools reopen.
We had made the decision to reopen Harvest Haven in late June when daily COVID cases in California fell to around 1000, but now that daily cases are hovering around 15,000, we have made the difficult decision to temporary close to the public again. Weekly senior meetings have gone back to online video chats for the safety of our seniors and volunteers. Our volunteers will continue to keep in touch with our seniors to provide help and support when needed.
We are sorry that line dancing, ping pong playing, voice class and other classes have to be temporally discontinued again because in light of the recent surges, we find it challenging to be able to keep our Center a clean and safe environment for everyone. It takes everyone’s cooperation to help end this pandemic! May our Lord grant us the willingness to sacrifice some of our comfort and freedom for the sake of everyone’s safety!
1Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you”. May peace and love be with everyone during this challenging time!!
