We hope you are still enjoying the beautiful summer days with family and friends amid the pandemic! Although we cannot be outdoors as much as we wanted to, we can still try to stay positive and count our blessings: realizing that we still have enough food to eat, and can still keep in touch with each other by phone and even see each other face to face using different social media platforms.
We would like to sincerely thank our young and talented volunteer, Melinda Wu, for spending the last few months re-designing our webpage and also thank several volunteers for helping with the translation. So that even though most of us are sheltering in place now, we can also keep in touch through our webpage at www.harvesthaven.org or through our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/harvesthavencsc. Feel free to leave us comments, likes and share!
Summer months are usually the time when our volunteers are busily preparing for our Annual Fundraising event. Sadly, this year the event will have to be cancelled. In order to keep Harvest Haven ‘Alive’ till the end of the pandemic, we will have to have a modified fundraising in order to meet our basic operational financial needs. July 1 is also the beginning of our Friends of Harvest Haven Membership cycle. This year the dues cannot be collected either, but donation supports can be made through our website.
We sincerely hope and pray that we will see the end of the pandemic very soon! We ask our Heavenly Father to bless everyone with good health and happiness until we can see each other again!!
